Support Worker

We are looking for a team of proactive Support Workers to join our brand new Supported Living Service in Hucknall. We will be opening two bungalows next door to each other, supporting four individuals with a Learning Disability in each. Shifts will vary, depending on the day and whom you'll be supporting but we require flexibility to cover three key shifts: 07:00 - 14:30, 14:30 - 22:00 and a Sleep-in/Waking Night shift which is 22:00 - 07:00. We also require flexibility to work at the weekends. The people we will be supporting are a varied bunch with a number of different needs and interests. Some of the individuals will require support with relationships, living independently for the first time and being as active as possible - this won't be a service where you'll be sat still for long Due to the active nature of the people we support, being a driver will be beneficial for the role. Care needs of the service will vary; some individuals will require full support with Personal Care while other will require more emotional support and encouragement. Experience with Epilepsy/Cerebral Palsy would also be beneficial. Some of the people we support are also Non Verbal so it'll be key to learn/know some different communication techniques. The role will also consist of the typical day to day support tasks, including household chores, administering medication and completing regular checks.
