Mechanical Site Manager

Mechanical Site Manager Pharmaceutical exp required. This pharmaceutical project has just commenced and our client requires a mechanically biased Site Manager for this £60m Laboratory construction project based in Cambridge - £20m Building Services value. This is a site based, floor- walking role and the ideal candidate will have good Mechanical Building Services background, to include trade knowledge, working within specialist environments including Data Centres, Laboratories and/or Pharmaceutical. As a mechanically biased site manager, you'll spend your time out on site dealing directly with the sub-contractors and their Package Managers managing QA, snagging, progress monitoring, void closures, etc. Review installed and the co-ordination of services and interfaces Witness and sign off services within voids and completed areas Liaise with Trade Contractors with regard to design change documentation Manage progress and programming A Site Manager, mechanically biased, with Laboratory knowledge is a definite advantage. You will be managing the various stages of the Mechanical installation and ensuring delivery through to commissioning/hand-over. The role is to support both the Construction Manager in driving the installation progress of Mechanical works, manage design deliverables and change control on site, ensuring the project stays on programme and built to the required specification. Qualifications & Experience Engineering qualifications within a Mechanical Building Services discipline Previous employment working with an established Mechanical Main or Sub-Contractor Site Manager Strong understanding of Laboratory and Research environments
