The purpose of the role is to provide leadership to the Group finance department with clear sight of the financial objectives of the organisation. You will implement and deliver financial strategy, overseeing group reporting, management accounting, treasury and tax utilising external expertise. Key Deliverables
• Provide leadership to the team focusing on personal development and delivering outstanding service.
• Responsible for the provision of timely Group reporting and consolidation
• Ensure timely and accurate management reports, commentary and KPI analysis delivered each month
• Management of year end processes including draft financial board reporting
• Lead the annual budgeting process
• Ongoing forecasting and variance analysis provide insight to support commercial decision making
• Continuous review and development of financial policies and processes to ensure they are robust and the business is compliant
• Undertake analysis of new initiatives and projects to ensure appropriate return on investment, providing insight into key business decisions
• Continuous review and development of business systems and processes
• Support in any acquisitions/disposals and integration Skills and experience
• Qualified Accountant with experience gained in a similar Group role as Head of Finance or Financial Controller within a medium to large organisation
• Experience of Group reporting essential and exposure to tax and treasury desirable
• Action orientated, problem solver, project management skills and ability to deliver at a pace
• Outstanding communicator and the ability to influence at all levels
• Proven track record leading and developing teams
• Can evidence improvements across policies, processes and systems
• Has a passion for best in class reporting and governance
