Traincare Cleaning Shift Leader - Temp to Perm Location: Cambridge Salary: While on contract - £25,500 rising to £27,120 upon successful transition to permanent Shifts: 35hrs per week rotating between days and nights via a roster. PLEASE NOTE: This is an immediate requirement A fantastic opportunity has come about with one of our key rail clients who are looking to employ a Traincare Shift Leader to assist the Depot manager in delivering the Fleet Train cleaning objectives. The company, a well-known Transport Operator in the UK market and one of the largest; is on the frontline of rail passenger service development. The purpose of the role is to lead and direct the delivery of Train presentation activity on each shift ensuring the achievement of the highest levels of service quality and productivity through proactive and effective management of TP staff and resources. Roles & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Lead, direct, supervise Train Presentation team staff. Ensure delivery to required standards of output and productivity. Audit, monitor, assess and take corrective action and use initiative to rectify shortfalls as quickly and expediently as possible. Deliver training, and develop staff using performance management techniques. Deliver briefings and communications as appropriate and required. Manage sickness, absence and performance to first level. Order all cleaning stores efficient and cost effectively following required procedures. Delivery of improvement in Train Presentation operation via projects, recommending and implementing improvement. Manager service level agreements and other contracts and ensure best value is achieved for clients Train Presentation needs. Report defects and liaise with engineering team to rectify faults, vandalism etc and ensure all activities outside TP staff remit but which impact on train presentation are carried out expediently. Carry out short term resourcing action when staff do not work as rostered. Develop and direct the Team Leaders to ensure each team works to its best in all circumstances. Required Experience: The successful candidate will be able to show a clear track record of competence in the above responsibilities. The ability to manage a team, set and deliver objectives whilst maintaining a positive environment are key attributes. This is a safety critical environment and standards are kept very high.
