We have a great opportunity for a hardworking, reliable & motivated individual to join our professional accounts team as an Accounts Payable Finance Assistant within our Business Support Centre in Hampton, Peterborough. This role will be based from home until the guidence changes and we feel it is safe to reopen our offices. You will be joining a really dedicated & hardworking team which consists of a Team Manager, 5 other Finance Assistants and a Senior Finance Assistant. You will be responsible for processing purchase invoices, liaising with suppliers, managing expense queries, and all other payment related questions. You will work closely with everyone in Mencap including our service managers, regional operational managers and heads of department in order to support them with any queries. To be considered for the role, you will have excellent communication skills and tenacity, as well as being self-motivated with good problem solving capabilities. You will need to be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload, as these are key skills within this role. Being an ambassador and supporter for change is so important for us, as we continuously want to improve the way we work. Previous accounts experience is not essential, but you must be confident when communicating on the phone and pride yourself on having excellent customer service. Previous experience with Microsoft Excel is preferred, as there will be regular usage of spreadsheets within the role.
