Jamesons Care in Fordham is looking for a male Support worker who can be part of a team to enhance the life style of one particular gentleman in his 20's with a diagnosis of moderate learning disabilities and presents with physically challenging behaviour. He needs to be supported by predominantly males as this helps him to feel safe and decreases his behavioural levels. He enjoys doing a range of activities including walking, art projects, cooking and is a particularly keen baker His behaviour requires the support of staff experienced in managing challenging behaviour and an extensive Behaviour support plan will be in place to support with proactive and reactive strategies. He has spent several years in a hospital setting and moving to Jamesons is a real opportunity to create a home that he can stay in for a long time and be supported to become a member of the wider community. However, due to the location of the service and shift patterns you would need to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle (if you have a reliable person who can transport you, then we would welcome your application too).
