IT Infrastructure Engineer - 12 Month FTC

Due to continued success we are expanding our IT Infrastructure Team and are looking to recruit an experienced Infrastructure Engineer on a 12 month fixed term contract to help support the business as we go through a period of change and continue to grow You will join our UK Infrastructure Team of 4 based at our Nottingham, UK headquarters and have responsibility for ensuring that Games Workshop's server and network infrastructure are always available and fit for purpose. You will be maintaining a number of systems including; Active Directory, networks (LAN, WLAN, VPN, MPLS etc.) and server infrastructure, working with industry leading hardware brands. You will work from our help desk system to provide 3rd line support, working to agreed SLAs. Key Responsibilities: Support and manage security and monitoring tools across the global Games Workshop estate. Identify information security deficiencies or risks to appropriate parties as soon as possible. Implement measures appropriately. Configure, maintain and support all WAN Technologies including VPN, Routers and firewalls. Configure, maintain and support all server and server technologies including VMware, Windows, Cloud Servers, all GW application servers, including Dev, Test and Production. Configure, maintain and support all Networking Technologies including switches and access points. Manage the server estate and inventory ensuring appropriate use of GW technology. Ensure IT Services are delivered against defined SLA's. Verifying the quality, accuracy and timelines of response. Monitor, support and maintain incidents and requests in accordance with the incident, major incident and problem management process with a focus on driving down repeat tickets. Ensure agreed IT solutions are resilient including backups and DR of agreed services. Ensure all documentation including technical designs, architecture diagrams, inventory, licencing, and support documentation is kept up to date and knowledge shared appropriately. Strong knowledge of IT environments with a technical, methodical and intelligent approach to diagnosing problems, troubleshooting and problem solving. Experience in managing tasks in a multi OS environment including Windows, Linux, Unix and Apple Mac. Have the appropriate technical expertise to plan and deliver infrastructure implementations. Be able to communicate effectively to different stakeholders both technical and non technical including suppliers & internal employees using a variety of different methods including telephone & chat via remote support.
