Implementation Consultant - IRIS Financials - Remote Based

We have an excellent opportunity for a financial services professional to join our team of Implementation Consultants at IRIS Financials (formerly PS Financials). This is a key role within the business, as you will be the first person our customers deal with following the successful sale of our product. You will be responsible for the implementation of our finance system, working with schools and commercial businesses on a daily basis; configuring the product end-to-end, testing it and training our clients in the use of the software. Your role will involve providing in-depth knowledge of the IRIS Financials application and evaluating the customer's business processes against the standard IRIS Financials functionality. Please note, due to Covid19, this role will be based remotely and all meetings are currently taking place online. UK wide travel will be expected in this role when permitted; meeting clients onsite to understand requirements. What will you be doing? As an Implementation Consultant within this team, your day-to-day tasks will typically involve the following: Participate in every aspect of the implementation from analysing the customer's business requirements to configuring the IRIS Financials application to meet the customer's needs Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organisation to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining full understanding of current business processes Provide in-depth knowledge of the IRIS Financials application and evaluate the customer's business processes against the standard IRIS Financials functionality Demonstrate experience in use of the prescribed IRIS Financials implementation methodology; understand the key activities and deliverables for the client engagement and internal projects Document the business requirements which express what actions a solution must take and what outcome is expected Configure and customise the IRIS Financials application to achieve the customer's business requirements Facilitate the customer's decision-making process and develop the functional design document that will drive the development process (if modifications/customisations are required, either to processes or to the IRIS Financials application) Conduct acceptance testing and training customer resources to successfully use and maintain the IRIS Financials application Develop industry experience and understand challenges and risks when implementing vertical applications What skills and experience do you need to have? We are looking for a passionate financial services professional, who can deliver an excellent first impression of IRIS Software Group to our new customers coming on-board. This role would be great for someone with a background in financial services, or a technical graduate with experience using different software packages. Alternatively, this role would be a great opportunity for someone from an Educational or Technical background, who is strong technically and looking to build a career within the software industry.
