An exciting opportunity has arisen in a well established company for a Kitchen Chef De Partie at an award winning in-flight food service provider. This company specialises in high standard special dietary meals including vegan, gluten free and Coeliac. The ideal candidate will have a Catering production background working in large kitchens, you will also need to have a Level 2-3 in food preparation. Your role with be to assist and control the cooking and preparation of food to the highest standard, presentation is also very important in the role. Duties will include: To prepare and cook sufficient food to the agreed amount of customer choice with minimum wastage To ensure the effective control of a specific station within the kitchen All food preparation is carried out in accordance with food hygiene procedures Ensuring food is prepared to the required standards checking for taste, presentation and quality Making sure food is prepared to specification and correctly packaged Working to control portions, preparation and storage methods to avoid wastage and keep costs down Assisting in the completion of relevant paperwork.
