Crane Service & Operations Manager, Colchester, £Competitive

R13 are pleased to be partnering with a leading agricultural service and product supplier in their recruit for a Crane Service & Operations Manager to join their team in Colchester. The focus of this role be management of the crane service and operations office through; organising the workshop, supporting sales, managing customer relations and creating effective workflow & communications between customers, management and technicians. Duties to include: Responsible for the efficient running of the crane service and operations office. Managing the crane build workshop, planning future service and build work. Ensuring all crane builds are delivered on time and on budget, Developing and growing the department to reach a level of profitability in line with brand/company expectations. Maintaining and developing customer accounts. Providing high quality customer service at all times, whether face-to-face or through phone/email. Daily management of staff, providing support to the team and ensuring work gets done. Dealing with customer queries and any issues that may arise. Maintaining and updating all relevant records. You will have/be: Crane/engineering knowledge would be highly advantageous. Knowledge of HGV body build. Previous managerial/team leadership experience. Experience with profit/loss management & reporting. Logical and flexible thinker with a methodical approach to problem solving. Able to communicate to colleague and clients at all business levels. Adept at dealing with staff matters confidentially and in line with company processes. Able to work autonomously and to own initiative. Desirable: Knowledge of steel fabrication and hydraulics. This is a full-time, permanent role working 42.5 hours per week, 8am-5:30pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour unpaid lunch. The offered salary for this role is highly competitive dependant on experience and this role also offers benefits including; 24 days holiday bank holidays, sick pay scheme, pension and staff discount.
