Team Leader

An exciting new opportunity has become available for Team Leader to work with our client, who is a Waste Management specialist, based in Ipswich IP6 area. Duties will include:
• To follow Health & Safety company/client policy guidelines;
• Monitor PPE compliance;
• High level of communication with client shift leaders to ensure that key instructions are understood and carried out;
• Ensure day to day running of shift;
• Monitor staff performance to seek improvement, this also includes ensuring that level of performance is achieving against set and expected targets;
• Communicate ideas and key points/issues during handovers;
• Keep Shift Supervisor informed of any issues or concerns (relevant & timely);
• Ensure full communication of any tool box talks or team briefs;
• Induct & train new staff members, ensure understanding of expectations;
• Ensure output material is to expected and agreed quality levels;
• Ensure that all pickers are achieving set pick rate targets;
• Ensure that all areas are kept as clean and tidy as possible and that during plant downtime sort line operatives are cleaning in their designated area;
• Ensure that all bins are emptied when full;
• Ensure all near misses & accidents are reported correctly; Why work for us?
