Our Waking Night Support Workers are key members of our team providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our young people. Through a creative and caring approach you will build good relationships with both service users and their families supporting them in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both person centred care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role so energy and initiative is vital. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the children and young people within our care are safe throughout the night, by completing regular welfare checks, offering reassurance and support where required. Belhaven is a therapeutic children's home for up to 5 young people, age 11-18, who have a variety of diagnosis including PTSD, attachment issues, eating disorder, depression and often display self-harming and risk taking behaviours. We have an experienced team inclusive of mental health nurses and psychotherapist, that provide mental health support on site, utilising a secure base model of care. The overall focus of the home is to achieve positive outcomes for young people; we do this though personalised care planning, creating positive attachments, consistent key working, engaging in community based activities and building on their life skills. In addition to this we used varying observation levels, restricted items and nursing workshops to improve the mental health of the young people. Our children's home provides care and support to children and young people that require mental health assessment and intervention. We utilise the secure base model of Care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We have an experienced team inclusive of Mental Health Nurses. We offer therapy and education on site. The overall focus of the home is to achieve positive outcomes for young people, we do this through multi agency working, personalised care planning and creating positive attachments. References For all roles we require a minimum of two references. References provided must cover the last 3 years, for all of our services we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.
