Trust Doctor FY3 in General Surgery Applications are invited for a Trust Doctor FY3 Level. This post is available for a fixed term from 1st May 2021 to 3rd August 2021 All successful candidates will have the opportunity to take study leave to attend courses and conferences. The West Suffolk Hospital holds an ALS course four times a year that trainees can attend. In addition, there is the opportunity to attend local ALERT courses and Teach the Teachers course. The West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust has come top of the national tables for staff recommending it as a place to work or receive care We have an excellent MRCP PACES teaching programme providing local teaching and a MOCK PACES exam. Trust Doctors at Foundation Level have free access to HORUS (Foundation E-Portfolio) and are allocated a Clinical Supervisor for each department. The basic salaries for these posts are as follows: Trust Doctor (FY3 Level): £38,694 additional hours (where the rota requires) There is a possibility this post could be extended past the advertised length of time, for a maximum of two years. The following are essential criteria MBBS or equivalent Ability to demonstrate that you meet the requirements set out in the Foundation Programme 2011 Eligibility Criteria Evidence of completion of Foundation Year 1 & 2 competencies or equivalent Previous NHS experience in General Surgery for a minimum period of 4 months at a minimum of F2 level. Full registration with the General Medical Council and hold a Licence to Practise Ability to demonstrate that you have the necessary language and communication skills to meetthe requirements of the post Applicants must declare whether they were required to undertake the clinical assessment organised by the UKFPO and provide written evidence of their result.
