Principal Solution Architect

The MASS EWOS division provides EW services, products, training and consultancy to a range of government and defence customers. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated Principal Solution Architect with full systems engineering lifecycle experience. You will be required to undertake a wide variety of engineering tasks including: System/Sub-System(s) requirements capture, analysis and decomposition. System/Sub-System(s) design, analysis, and specification. Production of documentation - System Engineering plans, Integration, Validation, Verification plans. System Design Documents etc. Assist in production and delivery of presentations for design and test reviews Bid Support, including work package, technical proposal and statement of work production Leading Software and Engineering Teams The selected candidate will be an experienced EW Solutions Architect and systems engineer with the capability of developing thought leadership in the EW domain. They will have a broad and deep understanding of EW with sound technical knowledge on current and near future systems. In addition, they will have an excellent understanding of the operational support environment that these systems need to be operationally effective. The successful candidate will have the ability to liaise directly with customers to understand and capture their requirements and then develop viable business winning technical solutions. The candidate must be a self-starter and shall be responsible for various engineering tasks including requirements capture, specification, design, testing, validation, and analysis. The candidate must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and competent team-player/leader who can communicate with confidence and clearly. The candidate should have 5-10 years or more experience in Electronic Warfare systems. It would be beneficial if this experience was gained from previous military operational experience due to on-going projects with defence customers in the UK and overseas. The candidate shall have experience of System Engineering concepts, including requirements, risk, quality, safety and configuration management. The candidate must be eligible for UK MoD clearance for access to the appropriate security level. MASS are an equal opportunities employer.
