Children's Registered Manager

We are enthusiastic about making a positive impact on the young people that stay with us, many of them may have trouble with their emotions, something categorised as EBD - emotional behavioural disorder. It's easy for that to become a label. We never want any child to be thought as just a number, as every child in our care is special, unique and have their own set of challenges to face.... that's where you come in The children we look after range from 6-18 across our various homes. As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for helping look after the children in our care, we work with each child to provide them with individual and specific goals, whether that be education, care plans, life skills , learning how to be an adult and helping them transition into the wider world. A huge part of you'll do is be a friend to them, someone that listens and genuinely cares , you'll get involved with activities like taking them out to the shops, doctors' appointments, contact meetings with social services, maybe it's swimming lessons or just getting them out and about having fun Obviously this isn't happening so much at the moment so creativity and a great imagination on how to keep young people entertained during COVID is highly welcomed You'll build strong relationships with the children which will put you in the position to help them deal with external agencies like social services, their families and other services that provide support. Of course you'll be a strong team player and set a good example - the best leaders always do Aside from that the goal is that you will spend 2 days doing admin work and 3 days on the floor - currently we need all hands on deck though You'll support the Deputy Manager and assist in ensuring we attain the best OFSTED reviews possible. As much as you'll help us look after our residents, we'll look after you . We have a generous benefits package available to all of our staff and we're actively looking to develop people. For this position you will need at the very least experience in an EBD home and a level 3 in the relevant field, a level 5 in in children's health 7 social care would be ideal.
