Based in Meldreth in a residential school setting our client has numerous vacancies for people who are experiences with working with children and young people aged between 9 and 19 years with severe and profound communication difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injury and degenerative disorders. If you are looking for full time hours (39) per week and are happy to follow a 4-week rota pattern working a combination of hours between 7.30 to 9pm we would like to hear from you. We will also consider people wanting part-time hours. We offer a supportive living and learning environment for young adults with complex learning disabilities and associated needs. We have carefully designed specialist facilities designed to meet the needs of our service users. We provide support through the terrifying transition from education to adulthood for our residents and ensure they have person-centred care to promote independence. We do this successfully by having an amazingly caring team who support each other as much as they do our residents. We are looking to expand our family About The Role: As a Support Worker, your main duties will be to provide high levels of care for residents. This will include washing, dressing, socialising and assisting with their learning. Our aim is to teach our young people the life skills they can take with them through adulthood. No two days will be the same in this varied role Other activities you will be involved in is assisting in hydrotherapy and rebound therapy sessions. You will build strong relationships with our residents and will support them as individuals by adapting to their needs . Essentially, you will help create a fun, safe and supportive environment for our young people to learn the life skills they will need in adulthood. Duties include assisting with washing, dressing and breakfast in the morning through to a wide range of educational, social and recreational activities. Working closely with the Teachers in this education, hydrotherapy and rebound therapy facility you will empower the children to achieve their learning and development objectives and become more independent.
