SIJ1 Support Worker Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire £8.72 p/h | 33 Hours - Days | Residential Care - LD/Challenging Behaviours | Pension & Benefits | Experience Not Essential A small private residential care service in Newark currently has a vacancy for a Support Worker to join their days team on a permanent basis. The care home provides residential care to younger adults who are living with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours, and who may have dual diagnoses or associated complex care and support needs. Details of this Support Worker role and what the home is offering:
• A permanent contract to work 33 hours per week on flexible day shifts, with weekends required on a rota basis
• Shift patterns are 2 long days on 4 days off, working 8.15am - 10.30pm
• Competitive rates of pay of £8.72 per hour plus paid breaks

• A comprehensive induction and ongoing learning and development opportunities, including the opportunity to undertake NVQ qualifications In this role you will support service users in their day to day lives, empowering them to lead an independent and active lifestyle and achieve their full potential.You will deliver care and support programmes, update care plans and will play a key role in the lives of service users, providing companionship, care and support. What we are looking for:
• Ideally you will have previous experience in a care or support setting, but this is not essential and full training will be provided
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is beneficial but not essential, and you should be willing to undertake this
• You will be enthusiastic, flexible and genuinely interested in working in a caring role
