Systems Engineer

General Description: As a Business Management Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing the company's internal audit programme of audits of the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety management systems, ensuring audit results are formally recorded, reported and corrective / preventative actions are documented and implemented. This is a challenging position within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, so it is vital that you are a dynamic and multi-disciplined individual who can work to agreed deadlines, both individually and as part of a team. With your prior experience, you will be confident in developing, monitoring and reporting on the performance of both ISO9001 and ISO14001 Business Management Systems and a Health and Safety management system. Also to be able and comfortable providing assistance and training to internal departments. Working closely with the Quality Manager, you will design, modify, enhance or adapt existing management systems and integrate new features or improvements with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity. You will participate in Certification body and Client audits (preparation, hosting, responses and follow up of corrective action plans). Key Accountabilities:
• Assist the Quality Manager in the management of the Business Management Systems
• Schedule, conduct, report and follow-up internal audits for the quality management, environmental management and health and safety management systems, in accordance with relevant SOPs, regulations and internationally recognised guidelines
• Ensure that corrective/preventative actions are implemented, documented and followed up by Quality Manager
• In consultation with the Quality Manager, implement, monitor, review and improve the audit programme on an ongoing basis
• Ensure adequate dissemination of information related to the company's business management systems. Also, that business management initiatives and functional issues are communicated and actioned
• Prepare for external audits ensuring all information and staff are available as requested
• Coordinate responses to external audit/inspection findings ensuring all findings are recorded all corrective and preventive actions are put in place
• Follow-up corrective and preventive actions verifying completion of them and relaying this to the auditor/inspector as required, keeping Management and all involved with the audit informed of progress and issues as required
• Maintain an in-depth awareness of Industry regulations, standards and guidelines and cascade updates across the company
• Maintain good knowledge of quality procedures, business operational procedures and company documents and procedures.
• Escalate any issues to the Quality Manager and assist in compliance issues
• In conjunction with the Quality Manager, review quality documents to ensure they meet current regulations and guidelines and identify and implement improvements prior to deployment
• Ensure the Business Management System is robust, effective, and adhered to
• Oversee administration of documents held within the business management system
• Further responsibilities may be delegated by Management as appropriate
• Work within a workshop or research and development environment as required
• Maintain the company training records, ensuring that all training is up to date and organise refresher/new training as required
• Attend all training as required by the company
• Maintain equipment calibration records, ensuring that all calibration certificates are in date and organise calibration/testing as required QHSE Responsibilities
