Summary and Main Purpose: The primary purpose of this role is to drive achievement standards for Remit through the development of innovative curriculum strategies, engaging learning programmes and resources. The postholder will be required to interpret requirements (of Standards, qualifications and employers) and plan stimulating and engaging learning journeys & resources from entry requirements, through to end-point-assessment or other such conclusion. All programmes must meet with external and legislative requirements such as OFSTED or IFA or other Standards, in addition to meeting funding compliance where required. There will also be a need to actively seek feedback from employers, learners, delivery colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure that programmes function and meet expectations, delivering excellence as the norm and actively driving continuous improvement. Key Accountabilities: To take responsibility for the timely creation of innovative and engaging, bespoke learning programmes & resources that deliver a compliant, quality, end to end learning journey for every learner To work closely with Fuse colleagues and take responsibility for the quality assurance of learning materials & resources, prior to 'go-live' for learners To work closely with colleagues and employers to ensure that additional opportunities to enrich programmes are explored To actively contribute to the creation and ongoing development of Remits comprehensive curriculum strategy To proactively identify and explore opportunities to enhance Remits current curriculum offer including funded programmes, new markets and wider commercial opportunities To actively contribute to external inspection and accreditation of Remit and its learning programmes through participation in inspections and events (eg, OFSTED, IIP etc) To work with colleagues to maximise the use of existing resources for the benefit of learners, actively seeking feedback to drive continuous improvements To lead the development of new programmes, including establishing appropriate entry criteria and process; planning, creation and launch of learning resources, including those associated with preparation for accredited assessment / programme output To take responsibility for launching and promoting programmes and their content to both internal and external stakeholders To actively identify & engage with new and innovative approaches to learning, developing such methods and ideas into Remits learning programmes and content To take responsibility for managing own workflow including setting and managing customer / stakeholder expectations (internal and external) To take responsibility for developing self to stay up to date with current methods, practice and sector developments To promote wellbeing, health and safety, Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent and Equality & Diversity both in practice and through the development of learning programmes and content Qualifications: Essential : Professional qualification in subject specialism(s) Teaching certificate or L&D equivalent Functional skills maths & English L2 or equivalent Experience: Essential : Extensive experience of designing and implementation learning programmes in a range of styles & settings (apprenticeship, commercial; delivered, self-serve etc) Excellent understanding of current L&D practice and ability to translate aspiration into action Awareness of current regulatory frameworks that overlay to apprenticeships (and other funded programmes) including how they influence programme design, implementation & delivery Experience of improving a curriculum area to merit or outstanding and ongoing continuous improvement An understanding of the Apprenticeship sector and curriculum A strategic awareness of the education and business environment Understanding of the use of digital technology in the development of curriculum Strong and extensive experience of developing partnerships with external stakeholders Desirable: Proven ability to manage change Personal Qualities and Requirements: Essential : Manage workloads to meet business timescales and budgets Ability to work effectively with teams across the business units and build strong relationships Ability to be responsive to business needs showing initiative, creativity, openness, adaptability to change and flexibility Ability to communicate with credibility and clarity Excellent written and presentation skills Plan and organise with clarity and attention to detail Use initiative to identify areas of improvement/development and implement appropriate action Good time management and ability to prioritise Demonstrate a creative approach to developing curriculums Desirable: Critical and responsive decision making Honesty and Integrity Demonstrate energy and drive including enthusiasm, assertiveness, self- knowledge, creativity, innovation and original thinking Demonstrate good team skills including a business contribution and peer to peer working Demonstrate a commitment to and promotion of equality and diversity A strong commitment to learner success, progress and achievement Remit Group is an Investors in People Gold and Health & Wellbeing awarded employer who pride ourselves on being a company putting our learners and colleagues at the heart of everything we do.
