We are currently looking for full-time Support Workers to join our team providing support to up to five young people, aged 11 to 18, at our children's home in St Albans. The young people all have learning disabilities and/or autism, and complex needs. You'll encourage them to learn new skills, continue their education at school or college, and get out and about in the local community, developing new interests and hobbies. As new young people move into their new home, you will support them with their anxieties as they settle in. They are likely to display behaviour that is challenging. We'll provide full training in positive behaviour support techniques. You will need to provide personal care. You will be working 37.5 hours a week on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. About you Experience isn't always necessary. If you have the right attitude, good customer service skills, share our values and are willing to learn, you're likely to be a great fit.
