Front End Developer / Designer (3 days remote)

Front End Developer / Designer (3 days remote) Location : Nottingham (3 days remote working) Salary/Benefits : Up to £50k 10% bonus flexibility This is one of those odd positions, it's more of a mixture than you'd usually get, in that imagine the right person for this role likely being either a front end developer with a real eye for design; or a strong UX/UI / designer who wants to get into more of the development, and has already started that journey... The business recently moved into a shiny new office fit for 120 people which should speak volumes about their intentions to grow when you understand they have just over 40 people right now. If all goes as expected, they're hoping they can fill up that space pretty quick, in spite of the pandemic. They have 2 fully fledged product teams, with a 3rd in the making, plus to a separate front-end team that is short-handed... They now need a strong, design focussed, front end developer with an eye for detail who can work on the on UX/UI. Besides having a demonstrable portfolio of design work with tools such as Illustrator / Photoshop / InVision etc; experience of UX/UI Design, knowledge of cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards (WCAG / W3C etc); the role requires HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding experience at a minimum. This role would be ideal for someone who would like to do more coding and become a fully-fledged developer - the business will support you so long as you have a real desire / aptitude to get there... As for the company culture, they're a tight-knit, ambitious and customer focused business so it's relaxed and friendly but are driven and protective of the culture they've created. They would forgo a 'stable genius' who is hard to work with for someone who really enjoys the job they do and has a positive impact on the team. The company was busy & growing substantially even before covid and due to the nature of the business it has been busier than ever, even more than at Christmas and there are no signs of slowing down for a long, long time - if ever Remote working: You will only be expected in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays post-covid, for now it's 100% remote. The working hours will be just 35 hours per week with flexitime. It can be either of the following hours: 8am to 4pm OR 9am to 5pm OR 10am to 6pm. There's lots to talk about the company and role etc but if you like gist so far, shoot across your CV and I'll be happy to run through things and answer all your questions.
