Job description: We are looking for an Immunoassay Development Scientist to join our Immunology and Immunotoxicology department based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. We strive to make a difference to people's everyday lives by bringing essential products to the market and as an Associate Technical Specialist you will play an essential part in making this happen. The role involves providing technical input into assay design, troubleshooting problematic assays and to provide technical support to sales enquiries As an Immunoassay Development Scientist at Covance your responsibilities will include: Providing expert advice on analytical results to colleagues and clients, maintaining awareness of current trends, issues and developments. Taking a lead role in problem resolution and providing advice to colleagues in solving analytical problems Conducting instrument evaluation and qualification projects Documenting processes and maintaining data records Ensuring GLP/GCP compliance of systems and procedures and that quality of work/data meet required standards Liaising with other collaborating departments to ensure effective conduct of projects Maintaining departmental equipment logs for routine PM and service dates, updating accordingly and ensuring all equipment are accurately service labelled to GxP and company SOP requirements. Training, assessing, reviewing and providing best practice guidance to analytical staff on analytical equipment and troubleshoot/triage immunoassay system faults ?If you are looking for a role within an organisation that offers the chance to grow and develop your career then we would like to hear from you Required profile: Education/Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree, in a relevant Science discipline Experience: Experience with method development and validation of immunoassays preferred Experience using MSD/ Luminex/ ELISA and Gyrolab Knowledge of GXP and regulatory agencies is preferred Knowledge of computers and software programs Some experience in performing scientific presentation and preparing scientific publications. Ability to interact effectively with all staff and management levels. Problem solving and decision making skills.
