Warehouse Manager An exciting position has become available for a full-time Warehouse Manager to join a friendly team, based Cambridge. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary. Role Requirements Warehouse operations experience Previous experience of supervising teams Extensive experience in a fast moving, deadline driven environment in a B2B operation Previous experience of managing stock takes Strong working knowledge of all relevant equipment and processes such as MHE, racking, manual handling, loading/unloading, pallet types, etc Stock movement & rotation Ability to work under pressure and react to changing priorities Works cooperatively and effectively with others to achieve common goals. Participates in building a group identity characterised by pride, trust and commitment. A willingness to learn and succeed. A desire to improve and develop their skills. Valid driving licence FLT driver Good IT skills, e.g., proficient in the use of Excel Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. Live in a commutable distance to CB25 9PG (Cambridge) English as first language First Aider Knowledge of PUWER and LOLER regulations Recognised Health & Safety qualification, e.g., IoSH, etc. GCSE - English & Maths Role Responsibilities (not limited to) Hands-on management of the Goods-in; Storage, Picking/Packing and Goods-out functions and associated resources Overall responsibility for the stores and warehouse function, ensuring warehouse and yard layout supports safe and efficient operations Management of inventory, including Min / Max / Re-order levels, ensuring that stock is available and orders are fulfilled as required by the needs of the business; meeting SLA's and KPI's where applicable Undertake routine and audited stock takes Ensure plant and equipment used in warehouse operations are maintained, inspected and tested in accordance with relevant legislation. Ensure that all work is executed in line with Company policies and procedures Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded Train and mentor team members to enable them to undertake tasks with consideration for safety and quality always Manage resources and allocate work to appropriate members of the team Ensure warehouse and yard areas always remain in a clean, tidy and safe condition Plan warehouse and depot layouts to support future capacity requirements Ensure that products are offloaded, unpacked, packed and loaded in a safe and efficient manner Ensure all records associated with the Goods-in; Picking/Packing and Goods-out functions are processed accurately and timely in the stock management system Plan, manage and participate in routine and audited stock takes Process all stock takes on the stock management system Company Our client are specialist providers of engineered solutions for concrete frames, ground engineering and civil engineering applications.
