Qualified Night Residential Support Workers We are looking to recruit Qualified Night Residential Support Workers who are innovative, dynamic and highly motivated, who have an excellent understanding and experience of working and supporting children and young people with severe learning disabilities and complex needs. To work on two-week full time rolling rota on 12 hours shift, which includes a full day training every six weeks. Night hours are ( 8.00pm - 8.00am) working an average of 44.5 hours per week. We work on a banding system depending on qualification and experience and salaries range between £20,617.74- £22,816.04 per annum. Responsibilities for the Care Role Includes: To support the children and young people to meet their needs in the most appropriate way by following individual care plans and the Witham Prospect School's policies and procedures. Promote children and young people's choice, independence, dignity, privacy and fulfilment of other rights. Maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our children and young people first, this will involve domestic duties. Actively promote learning during all programmes and activities during residential, leisure and educational situations. Support children and young people to maintain their personal cleanliness, general hygiene and appearance as described within their individual care plans. This will include intimate care. Organising and attending health and medical appointments. Assisting the children and young people in administering their medication. Ensuring the health, safety and emotional wellbeing of the children and young people in our care. Maintaining the high standards of care that Witham Prospect School provides. Essential Criteria for the Care Role Includes: NVQ/QCF Level 2 for Children's and Young People's workforce in Health & Social Care or above is desirable. Previous experience as a care support worker. Must have an excellent understanding and experience working with children and young with learning disability, autism and other complex care needs. Excellent working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and how to implement them. Must be enthusiastic, confident and resilient with the ability to follow positive behaviour support strategies when faced with behaviours of concern. Caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support. A real desire and capability to achieve the highest standards of care. Must be self-motivated, creative and keen to learn. Excellent effective communication and collaborative skills. Able to act in a professional manner at all times ensuring professional boundaries. Other factors Willingness to work flexibly and to keep knowledge and skills up to date. Ready to commit to the role in its entirety. Driver essential with Full UK Drivers Licence.
