Citrix Engineer

You will be part of our Infrastructure Operations Team focused on our cloud and hybrid infrastructure and services. Your goals will be to support and provide continual service improvement on the Zellis Azure platform for our internal and Customer-facing platforms.You will be joining Zellis at an exciting and critical time for our cloud programme, and we will need your skills and experience to continue to build the Citrix VDI tooling, processes and monitoring to ensure a best in class service. Administering the Azure Citrix VDI platform to meet business requirements, you will be required to provide advice and guidance, and to deliver IT and systems change that enhance our IT services delivery to Zellis. Key Accountabilities Primary focus on the Zellis Group Azure platform Maintaining Citrix Workspace. This is Zellis's digital workspace solution that allows colleagues to securely access our information, apps, and other content that are relevant to a person's role. Delivery of key IT objectives through ITIL and DevOps practices Creating and maintaining documentation Liaison with multiple teams across the business units to ensure IT services and infrastructure are fully maintained with regards to patching, security updates, hotfixes, etc. Working with IT Solutions Architect/Projects team to ensure standards and policies are adhered to Working with IT Solutions Architect/Projects team on projects to ensure timely delivery to the business Build trusted relationships with business colleagues to develop IT into a centre of excellence Contribute to and help develop the IT strategic vision Work with third party companies to make sure that a given project/task is delivered on time and to Zellis standards Support the roll-out of new Azure Services in line with company policies and standards Attend meetings to discuss evolving environment and technological advances surrounding the current information technology landscape. Provide technical input to reports for Line Management and IT Leadership team Provide support in Disaster Recovery and BCP exercises Working with Information Security on SOC1 controls/evidence gathering and vulnerability management Knowledge, Skills and Experience Azure IaaS/Paas/IoT/Administration ITIL Incident and Problem and Change Management Azure Dev Ops Citrix Workspace administration and continual maintenance Perform problem determination and root cause analysis to drive IT and business change Demonstrate a good knowledge of compliance and security standards Excellent listening and questioning skills combined with the ability to interact confidently with colleagues and clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution Investigating new technologies and provide feedback on system improvements The ability to think logically and work well under pressure Excellent understanding of mainstream cloud and on-premise computing and networking platforms and virtualisation principles Keen attention to detail Strong Customer focus Writing operational documentation Working closely with other colleagues, such as project managers, developers, systems analysts and sales and marketing professionals Consulting clients and colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of IT systems with a view to improving service Continually updating own technical knowledge and skills Personal Attributes / Competencies - Organised and detailed attention to tasks and management of tasks.
