Reporting to the Manufacturing Director the Maintenance Engineering Manager will lead an established team of Engineers, Technicians and Craftsmen across different Engineering disciplines and at varying levels of experience. Main responsibilities will include: Planning, coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the engineering department Ensuring timely response to engineering requests Promoting and maintaining the highest possible standards of health and safety Coordinating and recording of preventative maintenance work using CMMS Driving and implementing improvement activities to enhance plant reliability Ensuring site services are maintained to the required level with replacements and upgrades as appropriate Liaising with suppliers and internal departments Identifying team and individual training and development needs including monitoring the progress of apprentices With a strong Electrical & Mechanical engineering background we're looking for an inspirational people manager with a proven ability in steering and guiding multi skilled teams through both cultural and process driven change. Ideally you'll: Have a track record in leading an engineering team/department to achieve its strategic objectives and full potential Be Apprentice served or a qualified engineer/technician or engineering degree Have experience of continuous improvement processes to increase efficiency Be able to create a strong and collaborative team working culture Have excellent communication skills at all levels Be proactive and self-motivated in your approach to delivering change & improvement This is an excellent opportunity to join our Engineering team where you will be in the 'driving seat' of change and continuous improvement.
