Senior Business Analyst

Job Title Senior Business Analyst - Data Location Corby NN17 5JF As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a vital part role in enabling our Data, Analytics & Strategy team to deliver high quality data solutions in the right way, according to customer, supplier and business needs. You'll be working closely with a wide range of colleagues, to understand and evaluate detailed requirements, before recommending solutions and acceptance criteria aligned to the strategy and standards of the Group. Reporting to the Head of Transformation for Data & Analytics, you'll be a part of an organisation that promotes personal development, growth, and career progression and that will provide you with the tools and training you need to excel in the industry. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements, priorities and dependencies and evaluate benefits to underpin success. Capture robust business requirements for each methodology e.g. technical specifications, prototyping, diagrams, word documents or Epics, Features, Prototypes and Users stories, with clear acceptance criteria. Support the end-to-end management of each project from inception to delivery into business as usual. Apply your data and technical acumen to produce data gap and impact analyses, by working with business functions and project teams, to analyse existing processes and data sources and document "As-is" and "To-be" processes. Assess the feasibility and impact of technology changes, business processes modifications and shifting external factors that affect data quality, collection, storage and its practical application. Define, model and document data and reporting solutions. Analyse performance metrics to help develop a more data driven approach to addressing business challenges. Ensure the information flow is effective by keeping team members and stakeholders informed of strategic, commercial and technical initiatives that predicate project status updates. Facilitate colleague development through coaching and by planning and running showcases to actively share best practices across the team. What Will You Bring to the Role A passion for the data industry and data trends Knowledge and experience in the application of the BA role - recognised as a specialist and adviser in this skill, including user needs, generation of ideas, methods and tools. Ability to determine a planning approach based on audience needs and to schedule related activities within the context of the overall strategy. Able to share best practice - coaching and mentoring others. An innate ability to ask the right question, at the right time. A passion for delivery, achieved through well written user stories and working with a team to define & refine them. Great analytical skills with good business acumen. An understanding of data architecture and technical discussions. Foresight to recognise opportunities outside your areas of specialisation; that challenge current processes and the willingness to suggest new ideas. An approachable and open-minded style for building relationships at senior levels and maintaining strong stakeholder management. Strong and varied communication skills that adapt to audiences of varying technical abilities and seniority. Familiarity with bothWaterfall and Agile methodologies, as you will be working closely with developers and technical colleagues.
