Our client is a family owned multi-award winning construction company operating across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. They are now looking for a Construction Planner to be based out of their head office in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire with regular travel to sites across the region. Reporting into the Associate Operations Director our Construction Planner will ensure all projects are completed on time, protecting the business using programme analysis to support any contractual delay claims and delay mitigation measures. Construction Planner - Responsibilities - Oversee Construction and Tender build programmes, methodologies and sequencing. - Handle contractual delay claims and mitigation measures. - Management of and reporting on programme critical path, delays and risks. - Resource management and planning ensuring right people, right place, right time. - Produce detailed programmes with critical path using either MS Project or Asta Powerproject. - Identification, tracking and reporting of all changes or potential changes to the critical path on project programmes and ensuring that the relevant contract principles are applied. - Undertake programme analysis and report in written form to external and internal stakeholders - Identification of major restrictions, risks and contract requirements, recommendation of any betterment. - Understand all project programme data and plan all construction activities to mitigate potential resource and workload clashes - During mobilisation and throughout the construction phase work closely with the project operational team to ensure programme is maintained, tracked and updated. - Site Programme reviews to ensure accurate recording of progress Construction Planner - Required Skills - Good knowledge of building contracts, especially Relevant Matters/Events, Extension of Times and Delay Notices gained within the housing construction sector - Fantastic understanding of delays to programme with that of contract implications and how to protect the business. - Strong construction planning background operating at a senior level with experience of working with Construction Project Managers - Highly effective communication and influencing skills - Ability to programme manage up to 20 projects in various stages at any one time. - Excellent multidisciplinary construction knowledge - Excellent ability to interpret 3D models and drawings - Solid report writing, attention to detail and data analyst skills - Good standard of education, with a relevant project management or construction management qualification at HNC level or equivalent - Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Asta PowerProject as well as MS Project As Construction Planner you will be joining a business that have been Investors in People since 2001, achieving gold status in 2014, with a top 5% ranking of accredited companies in the UK.
