Senior Care Assistant

Time Recruitment are seeking professional Senior Care Assistants, with NVQ Level 3, for one of the market leading care homes based in Harlow Essex. Reporting to the Head of Care/ Deputy Manager and Registered Manager, this position is temp to perm, going permanent after 14 weeks. Suitable Care Assistants candidates MUST have/be the following: Full drivers (B) Licence Flexible working attitude to meet the needs of the home, commitment, loyalty and supportive manner towards management and colleagues NVQ Level 3 Minimum Two years experience within a senior care management role Care Assistant Duties shall include the following: Responsibility for the running of shifts ensuring that care is delivered to a high standard Ensure that appropriate individual care is given to each resident in accordance with care plan To monitor performance of care assistants To ensure good systems of communication To ensure documentation is accurate, legible and complete Administer medication in the correct safe manner as within the medication policy To deliver a high standard of care and Lead and work within a team Ensure each residents health, care and wellbeing is paramount Ensure staff team provide written documentation of care for each resident on each shift Attend regular staff and Senior Care team meetings Undertake, implement and update risk assessments for all activities within the care side of the home and complete incident / accident forms when necessary and update risk assessments accordingly Take overall responsibility for Health and Safety on your shift and ensure that all incidents are dealt with professionally and that all necessary paperwork is completed, and any relevant or significant persons informed (Registered Manager, Proprietor, Families, Social Services, SOVA, CQC) Ensure that infection control practices and policy is followed at all times To undertake and participate in training as necessary This is a Monday-Friday role with rotational Weekends. Successful candidates will be paid between £10 - 12.50 per hour working 33/36 hours per week.
