The Role The Academy Juniors are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their passionate and enthusiastic team. The role is initially a fixed term contract until August 2021, however there is the potential for this to be made permanent. The successful candidate will have the ability to assist and work under the direction of the class teacher. They will be able to support and aid the learning of pupils through clarifying and explaining instructions, ensuring the use of equipment and materials and to provide continuous encouragement and motivation. Knowledge of the local and national learning strategies to enhance literacy and numeracy is also key to this role along with the ability to effectively manage pupil behaviour in line with Academy policies. It would also be advantageous to have experience working with children with Autism/ADHD. The Person You will: Be passionate and dynamic about children's learning.
