Title: Support Workers Contract Type: Permanent Full time Hours of Work: 37 hours per week Salary: £18,349 per annum Location: Bocking, Essex Are you looking for a job where you can make a real difference? Previous experience in care and support is desirable but not essential. We will support you with a comprehensive induction and provide ongoing training and development. We follow the ethos of Positive Behaviour Support, engaging individuals in active support and focussing on community participation. The main duties for this post will be to provide emotional support to service users, promote daily independence and wellbeing, as well as offering personal care and support with daily living tasks. You will be required to follow comprehensive plans and intervention guidelines as well as support plans and risk assessments. As a requirement of the role you will be working on a rota basis including, weekends and waking nights. You will have a genuine desire to work in Care and the following transferable skills and abilities: An understanding of the needs of people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Dementia Strong communication and interpersonal skills Sound numeracy and literacy skills to complete handovers, write reports and log incidents Sufficient IT skills to be able to update records Able to work in partnership with residents and other professionals Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure Why work for L&Q Living?
