Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Do you have experience in working alongside children who present with challenging behaviour? Are you able to build relationships and help children to engage in class? LTF Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside one of our partner schools in the Mansfield area who are looking to add a behaviour specialist teaching assistant to their team. The main duties within the role will be: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis who struggle to manage their behaviour Putting strategies in place to help children focus in and out of class Liaising with the school SENCO and child's parents around progress and areas for improvement Running small mentoring groups around: positive communication, friendships and importance of engagement Creating bespoke reward plans to maximise engagement in class Resolving situations where challenging behaviour has arisen The school are looking for someone who: Has at least one years' experience of working in a school Is comfortable working with children who demonstrate challenging behaviour Will be able to diffuse challenging situations Can build relationships quickly with pupils with SEMH Is available to work on a full time basis Has a proven record of excellent attendance and punctuality In order for your application to be cosnidered, you MUST have experience of working in a school.
