Analyst - Revenue Accounting

Purpose of the role The Revenue Accounting functions are responsible for ensuring Revenue transactions recorded in the underlying retail systems are processed and reconciled accurately to a high standard within the General Ledger systems. The role involves performing initial data validation checks, analysis and investigations regarding any exceptions, as well as highlighting any non-compliant behaviours. Principal accountabilities Analysing and processing of sales data from the various retail systems into the accounting systems Producing cash to sales reconciliations and investigate for any anomalies and trends with Store Directors Preparation of Shared Services owned Balance Sheet reconciliations as required Investigation and clearing of reconciling transactions in a timely manner Ensuring that month end revenue accounting data is accurate and timely Pro-actively identifying opportunities for process improvement Liaising with stores for data where end of day accounting process has not been undertaken Liaising with store partners, external auditors and finance teams to resolve queries Essential skills include Good interpersonal skills and an effective communicatorStrong analytical skills
