Service and Operations Manager

WENZEL UK are a subsidiary of the much larger and globally recognised WENZEL Group. Our manufacturing facility's in Germany are state of the art and supply all subsidiaries with a multitude of high specification Metrology Equipment. WENZEL UK focus on the Sale and Service of CMM's, CT machines and non contact Laser Scanners. Our customers range from Blue Chip Automotive to small sub contract Engineering Companies based all over the UK and Ireland. We are now recruiting for an Operation and Service Manager to lead a team of 4 full time Engineers. The role is part of the Management team is seen as an integral part of the future growth of the business. JOB PURPOSE To Manager the Service Department, support Operations and ensure all Quality procedures are met. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Dealing with customer queries and deciding the level of support required Quoting for work and liaising with customers for Purchase Orders Providing RAMS for customer visits based on previous assessments of customer sites Processing orders and tracking progress Ordering parts from Head office Project Management of installations Monitoring stock levels Ensure complicity with Management system through process. Monitor and complete training records Managing staff including HR Tasks Sending weekly schedules with all relevant job data Compile and complete forecasts and budgets Scheduling engineers' workloads optimally Compiling weekly invoice notes EOM stock data exported including Totals and monthly transactions Report weekly activities to line manager Report Quarterly data in relation to forecast WENZEL BUSINESS NEEDS The individual needs to: Have experience and knowledge of WENZEL machines or other 3 rd party CMM's including breakdown troubleshooting Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar Have previous experience "hands on" servicing or fixing machinery Have managed a small team of Engineers including scheduling work Be commutable to Sandiacre in Nottingham and Coalville in Leicestershire Be a friendly & approachable person who works well in a team as well as on their own Have a good level of knowledge using Microsoft Office Have experience in working to deadlines Be a clear communicator with good English language skills in reading, writing and speaking Be organised with the ability to multi task REMUNERATION Basic Salary £42,500, Company Car, Healthcare, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Profit related pay Bonus, Mobile phone, Laptop
