We now have an opportunity available for a Technician to join us to provide support in the Plumbing workshops and classrooms in a way that supports the lecturing staff and enables students to gain good practical skills. Providing technical support in the workshops and classrooms whilst classes are in practical sessions, you must ensure that the areas are kept clean, organised and are safe working environments for staff and students and set up specialist machines and equipment when required. This equipment must be maintained and serviced to an approved maintenance schedule which will be your responsibility, along with the ordering and accurate stock records and inventories for all materials, tools, equipment and machinery. With at least three years' experience working in Plumbing or similar environment, you must have experience of using and maintaining machinery and ideally have knowledge of current practical assessment requirements for Plumbing qualifications. The ability to repair and maintain Plumbing equipment and machinery and assist with the construction of Plumbing assessment resources is essential. Bury College is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity, celebrating diversity, safeguarding its learners and expects all staff to share these commitments.
