Orwell Housing Association provides homes for over 7,500 residents throughout Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridge. Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a professional and customer-focused ICT Support Technician, to join our ICT Team. Using your knowledge and experience, the key focus for this role is to take responsibility for the diagnosis and resolution of ICT incidents. The Role The ICT Support Technician will be part of the ICT support service who collectively administer and maintain the ICT provision across the Orwell network, helping to shape and deliver our mission of providing sector leading, customer centric housing, support and care services. As part of this role you will: - Take ownership of incidents and ensure they are recorded and resolved - Provide advice to users on systems, products and services - Assist users in defining their needs for new access rights and privileges - Provide guidance and assistance to less experienced colleagues in the execution of routine tasks and ensure that all safety, security, clerical and administrative procedures are completed correctly - Take the initiative in identifying and reporting any potential problems, risks, threats or opportunities to improve the existing ICT service - Take ownership of recorded incidents and undertake analysis and problem-solving techniques, to find the cause of incidents and implement temporary or permanent fixes as required - Undertake work activities in line with SFIA (level 3) for ICT Support Technician - Assist with the maintenance and management of Orwell's ICT desktop environment, including desktops, laptops, tablet and printers used across the business - Identify potential threats to the confidentiality, integrity or availability of the system. Determining when security issues should be escalated to a higher level, to enhance resilience to unauthorised access and to report About You The ICT Support Technician will be able to demonstrate an analytical, methodical and systematic approach to problem solving, whilst providing excellent customer service to colleagues across the business. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Information Technology; who can multi-task and prioritise workloads and has the ambition to make a difference.
