Are you a graduate considering teacher training who would value some classroom experience? A residential support worker looking for a change in career? An existing TA or LSA looking for the opportunity to gain further experience or qualifications?

Required from September, we have a number of Support Staff opportunities for capable and enthusiastic people to join our dedicated team working under the guidance and supervision of the Headteacher and teachers in these vital and rewarding roles. The successful candidates will provide support for educational, physical and social needs of pupils.

If you are looking for a change of career or a new opportunity within a primary school we would be delighted to hear from you. The positions will be full or part-time or on a job share basis, all roles will be term-time only (39 weeks per year, including CPD days), 44.4 paid weeks per year.

Salary: between £18,562 + £597 Fringe per annum and £20,903 + £597 Fringe, dependant on qualifications, skills and experience (the salary will be pro-rata).

We are looking for applicants who have:

• Experience of working with children, although not necessarily in an education setting
• The desire to put children’s needs at the centre of their role
• Numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or GCSE Grade 5 in English and Maths
• The ability to work unsupervised, using initiative, to prioritise, multi-task and be flexible
• The ability to work calmly under pressure, and with a ‘can-do’ approach • Full training and support will be provided
