We blend our unparalleled track record, sound processes and proven delivery methods with a fast-paced and agile culture, ensuring we deliver thriving places that are as agile and resilient as their occupants.Job PurposeThe PMO Manager reports to the Head of IT Portfolio and Project Management (HoPPM) and will be responsible for supporting the HoPPM in achieving the objectives of the Portfolio and Project Management function, including line management responsibility for four PMO staff members.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform Senior level Portfolio Analysis to determine impacts and risk to current and pipeline deliveryRun and manage the project and portfolio reporting process, providing quality assurance and analysis on the reports to ensure and maintain a single source of truth, flagging areas of concern and inconsistencyEnsure the portfolio register is maintained and up to date at all timesRun and manage the stage gate review process, quality assuring the deliverables before each gate, coaching and supporting the Project Manager to ensure objectives are achieved, and flagging areas of concernRun and manage the resource management process, including obtaining regular updates from key stakeholders within IT to keep the resource management demand vs.utilisation picture currentAggregate lessons learned into a report to form a picture of continuous improvement for the IT department and businessMonitor project and portfolio controls, including risk, issues, plans, finances, project changes, dependencies and ensure any areas of concern are flaggedPerform regular audits on the portfolio and ensure any areas of concern are flaggedTake a coaching and supportive stance to Project ManagersLine manage four people within the PMO team, including performing 1-1's, regular personal development reviews, and monitoring training needsProvide Senior support to the HoPPM where requiredQualificationsProject or programme management methodologies such as Prince2/PMI/APM/MSP/Agile practitioner is idealAny other project management related qualifications are desirable, e.g. Risk Management, Microsoft Project, Excel etcSharepoint experience is desirableExperience with Microsoft Project and VisioPPM tool experience is desirable (e.g. Project online, Project Server, Clarity, ServiceNow PPM, etc...)Skills & ExperiencesWorked for a minimum of 3 years at a senior level in a Portfolio management office environment (for example as a Manager or as a Senior Analyst/Coordinator)Practitioner certificate in a project related qualification, or relevant experience.Be proficient with MS Visio and all other MS office productsCommercial, Financial and Business acumenMust work to a high degree of accuracy with excellent attention to detailMust take an analytical approach to problem solvingExcellent stakeholder engagement and management, with open, honest communication and a supportive stanceAbility to critique documentation in a clear, logical and concise wayAbility to effectively communicate to different audiencesAbility to present ideas and information effectively and efficientlyExcellent people management skills written and verbal communication skillsAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAble to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential informationSelf-motivated and able to take responsibilityAble to manage and prioritise and tasks and time efficientlyAble to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approachPerson SpecificationAct with integrity and honesty at all times.Maintain confidentiality in all project related work, including contractor day rates, project costs, and budgets.Listening; able to question and clarify explanation of issuesSelf-starter who defines and leads not follows or stops at blockerISG ValuesAll our employees must be committed to acting in line with our core values.
