Salary: Unpaid Hours: Eight meetings a year. Additionally, trustees are invited to the AGM Meetings location: Traditionally Norwich, but currently via zoom Our Marketing and PR Trustee will be bursting with ideas to help engage communities to ensure the vibrancy and success in the future of the organisation. With a strong interest or background in all round PR and marketing campaigns you will show a commitment to the cause, strong strategic and direction skills, good governance and be outspoken. This Trustee will work with the other Board members and will guide on marketing strategies, branding & profile, fundraising opportunities and will advise on ways to maximise the profile and reputation of the charity. An 'ideas' person: enthusiastic, committed and a clear thinker with an eye on opportunity but also an understanding of the needs and aspirations of the charity and an empathy with the charitable and voluntary sector overall. They will need to appreciate the constraints of Headway Norfolk and Waveney's funds and resources to support marketing functions. In addition to the general responsibilities of a Trustee listed, duties of the Marketing and PR Trustee will include the following: Responsibilities and Profile of the Marketing and PR Trustee To provide a marketing and PR oversight into the strategic development of a growing organisation Advise on the development and steer the implementation of the marketing strategy Offer ideas on improving the attractiveness of Headway Norfolk and Waveney to current and potential funders and stakeholders Support and guide Headway Norfolk and Waveney of pursuing corporate sponsorship and funding To champion Headway Norfolk and Waveney, and support with networking Guide on new marketing and PR ideas and on new ways to encourage and manage engagement Help to identify free or cost-effective marketing initiatives and tools to support the marketing plans, where possible to support current staff resources (e.g. scheduling tools for social media accounts) Advise on campaigns to raise profile and/or encourage funding streams - including how best to implement Help identify a realistic annual budget to help support and maintain good marketing and communications activity Offer guidance on the development of marketing materials, if and when required For more information about the role and organisation, please contact Laura Jones, Chief Executive: by clicking the 'apply' button.
