Role: We are looking for a Technical Authority - Electrical person who is a leader authority int their own field field, who has a passion for developing others and who will rise to the challenge of being accountable for the definition, deployment and assurance of electrical standards, strategy and ways of working throughout the sector. You will work with, mentor and support the sector and plant engineering functions in all areas of electrical engineering. You will be part of a leading community of practise group who will be the go-to support network for all global technical excellence standards. Key responsibilities: Definition, deployment and assurance of electrical standards, standards and ways of working for all areas of electrical engineering across the sector for high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) applications Co-ordination of these standards with Group Projects and other sectors; ensure compatibility of sector and local standards Mentor and support engineering groups across the sector to enable adherence to the standards and drive a culture of best practice Act as sector expert/key point of contact for capital projects and PPI activities, including leading and undertaking project work as appropriate Key point of contact with contract organisations for electrical standards and design Scope of role covers all aspects of electrical design and application in the manufacturing plants Are you the ideal candidate? You will have: Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, and significant experience in LV and HV in a plant or project role in a chemical or automotive environment Be a member of a recognised institute within your field of expertise Be able to achieve business critical timescales and work under pressure Knowledge of global electrical standards and experience of working internationally Be able to set standards and have the ability to drive all areas of the business to achieve those standards Have excellent demonstrable stakeholder management skills How to apply: If you have the necessary skills and experience to join our team, please apply online.
