Days and Hours of Work: Monday - Friday To start ASAP The Education Support Officer will play a lead role in taking forward the delivery of the Digital Learning Strategy for curricular use across all stages within our Primary and Secondary schools. The Education Support Officer will work across all stages of the education services to develop and implement approaches to support schools in the effective use of digital technology and use of technology to enhance learning and teaching. This will involve working with colleagues both within the local authority and its schools and external partners in a collaborative way to support the development in the use of technologies to enhance opportunities for virtual and online learning. The postholder will provide definitive professional advice, guidance and professional learning opportunities and support on services, strategies and approaches across schools on all aspects of quality learning and teaching. The postholder will provide a central liaison and support role for schools in relation to the focus on improved outcomes for all learners being at the core of everything we do. The postholder will take a lead role in embedding the idea of a digital culture in all our schools. It is anticipated interviews will take place on 23 June 2021. Job Requirements Relevant Qualifications A Higher Education/degree level qualification Must have full GTCS registration Driving Licence As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle. (Where a disability precludes you from obtaining a driving licence, ELC will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.) PVG Membership This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
