Full Stack Developer Overview Murphy and Son Limited are looking to recruit a Full Stack developer in an exciting new role within their company. We are looking for someone who can work on both front-end and back-end systems. They will be expected to manage an existing platform with databases, 2 x physical servers, 1 x remote server as well as being hands on to help work colleagues with their day-to-day IT issues. Job Brief We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You'll be part of a cross-functional team that's responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack Developer, you sho uld be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. Responsibilities Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions. Design client-side and server-side architecture Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design. Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications. Write effective APIs. Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software. Create security and data protection settings. Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design. Write technical documentation. Work with data programmers and analysts already onsite to improve software, systems, and processes. To manage the staff list of IT hardware/software and create a rolling upgrade program. Requirements
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
• Familiarity with common stacks
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organisational skills
• An analytical mind
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or relevant field This role is not for the fainthearted. You will be responsible for the IT across a medium sized SME answerable directly to the managing director you will need to be flexible, hard working with a reasonable knowledge across a wide area.
