Technical Coordinator

The Agricultural team based at Stradbroke in Suffolk is made up of our team of vets, fields staff, technical and support staff working together to ensure that our supply chain from beginning to end operates within the highest standards of welfare, quality and efficiency. The Opportunity: We currently have an opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our team to provide maternity cover on a fixed term contract that will last for approximately 12-14 months. Your key responsibility will be to support the Research Manager and BQP Technical Team in all aspects of farm trials, nutrition and feed management. The role will include planning and setting up R & D trials, as well as collecting and collating data to produce conclusions and reports for key stakeholders. This may include feed formulations and eating quality trials and include ensuring that all trial protocols are clearly communicated and adhered to. Working as part of a team, you will also get involved in commercial feed and nutrition management when required, and your role will be split between data analysis and practical delivery of the trials on farm. The successful candidate will be numerate and analytical with the ability to record and interpret data. Experience in the use of database systems would be an advantage. They must also have a keen interest in agriculture, and in driving improvement through precision technology. Working as part of a team and being prepared to get involved in practical tasks such as the weighing of livestock is also important. The role will also include some travel, therefore having a full drivers' licence is a must.
