The Bell is located on the high street in Pokesdown very close to the AFC Bournemouth stadium. It has won many awards for the pub and its garden - winning Bournemouth Echo's Pub award just last month. It was awarded a 5 rating for food hygiene. Known as being very much heart of the community it is a sports bar / pub and club with resident DJ and cocktails Friday and Saturday night. The locals see it as their pub and support it well. It has a car park and a large garden which has been landscaped and has its own outside bar with 6 pumps on. As you can imagine it is well used from Easter to October. The building itself is the 2nd oldest pub in town and was established in the early 1850s as a grocery and pub, with an inn upstairs. There are 3 entrances to the pub - one at the front straight to the bar, one from the garden into the lounge and one at the side into the livelier area. The long bar separates the two main parts of the pub - the lounge area and the carvery/disco area. It has 2 AWPs and has previously had pool tables - this was changed to make a dance area. There is a full catering kitchen with a double pizza oven and a carvery unit already for you to drive the food offering and food is a big opportunity here. When the football is on you can expect to be packed - being marked as a pub for both home and away teams. On these weeks they easily average £15,000 or more.
