Senior Technical Consultant Location : Nottingham/Nationwide Flexible working Experian's software solution delivery function is currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Consultant; a fantastic lead, client-facing role within the function. Working primarily in the banking, financial services and telecommunications sectors, this role will provide UK technical support, design and integration consultancy for various Experian software products in the areas of customer acquisition processing and decisioning, customer and collections management. What will you be going? Technical Consultancy: Providing technical pre-sales presentations to prospective clients, supporting business/sales teams in project bids/proposals and assisting in the completion of RFI/RFPs. Producing delivery effort and Experian hosted service cost estimations. Operating as subject matter expert to support internal teams on product and solution implementation. Offering thought leadership in technical aspects of solution delivery and best practices. Owning solution technical design, and therefore leading internal/client focused workshops and related activities: - Feasibility studies and proof of concepts Requirements gathering Solution/technical architecture design System/infrastructure sizing. Systems integration. Product/Platform Operational Readiness: Engaging with regional and global Product Management functions to report on product improvement opportunities based on delivery best practice and client feedback. Documenting requirements and technical specifications for core product development. Providing advice to the Product Steering process and regional operational readiness activities. Assisting with the set-up of new environments and technical training for internal delivery teams. What we are looking for An experienced technical consultant motivated by the drive for continuous improvement and working collaboratively to meet client requirements. Presentation skills to deliver technical detail clearly and concisely to clients and internal audiences. Proven ability to act as the technical lead on projects and converse with server/network engineers, software developers, security specialists and other technical roles bridging the gap with business users and their requirements. Strong communication skills and capable of engaging with clients at a senior level. Ability to work with our clients' Enterprise/Solutions Architects to fully understand and integrate Experian solutions within an SOA and/or microservices-based architecture covering a broad technology stack A track record in solution design, awareness of secure software / solution concepts and architecture, industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methods. Familiarity with key technologies and platforms including; Third-party cloud services such as AWS and Microsoft Azure Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, z/OS PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases IBM WebSphere MQ, Tibco EMS and other middle-ware Authentication and identity management solutions; SSO techniques (LDAP, Active Directory, ForgeRock AM and various identity providers) Java application technology and standards (Java SE/EE), secure web service integration, web and application servers (for example, IBM WebSphere Application Server, Apache Tomcat, Microsoft IIS, Jetty etc.).
