Manufacturing Planner

Job Purpose To be responsible for the scheduling of all pipe extrusion lines to meet stock / delivery requirements. To be responsible for the planning and usage analysis of extrusion materials and the accuracy of extrusion stock transactions. To plan the availability of all extrusion materials to successfully meet the requirements of the pipe production plant. To analyse and report on the usage of all extrusion materials making necessary changes to process and system accuracy. To analyse and report on the system bookings of all pipe works orders, making necessary changes to process and system accuracy. Key responsibilities Control of the Pipe Manufacturing Plan. This will include: The scheduling of all pipe to fulfil stock replenishment / customer delivery needs. Communication with Manufacturing to ensure execution of plan. Communication with Customer Services to ensure potential supply issues are identified and mitigated in a proactive and timely manner. Construction and maintenance of Rough Cut capacity and Master Production Plan to oversee short to long range planning processes to ensure all key resources are developed to support the customer service requirements of the business. Monitoring key metric relating to production, inventory and order performance. Control of the PE Material Plan.This will include: The scheduling of all PE Materials to fulfil the Pipe Plan The daily update of the plan using silo readings, material delivery information and usage Liaising with Despatch to co-ordinate material deliveries against silo capacities Plan adjustments to delivery schedule, re-scheduling deliveries where necessary to avoid the cost of aborted deliveries Reporting all deviations of planned usage against actual usage Supplier delivery performance KPIs Co-ordination with Extrusion to the planned usage of Repel PE material. Co-ordination for the weekly material counts (including month end) for the reconciliation of the raw material and yield calculation Review material consumption (actual against standard) and report in detail all exceptions and make recommendations for BoM changes.Report actual usage against plan for all multi-layer pipe works orders and non-PE material usage. Co-ordinate weekly material/consumable counts to reconcile against AS400, check stocks against plan/re-order points, placed material orders with suppliers to ensure continuous supply of material within storage capacity.Report all supply issues. Co-ordinate pipe plan against consumable/packing physical stocks to ensure that all items are available for the plan.Review all packaging stock-outs, report on causes and recommend changes.Work closely with the Despatch team to review packaging needs/usage.Ensure accurate alignment of AS400 stock to actual stock levels for all packaging. Responsibility for all silo management tasks, including: the daily reading of all silo values; the issue of the silo report and identification of all anomalies - generating action plans where applicable; liaising with PE/ABS suppliers and their hauliers to organise deliveries; booking-in of all material deliveries onto the AS400; maintaining the GRN/Delivery Note filing system; ensuring all Test Certificates/Certificates of Analysis are copied to the QA department for all material deliveries. Transaction of all non-conformance reports by producing the necessary scrap notes, AS400 entry and maintenance of the scrap note filing system. Ensure optimal and accurate maintenance of all master data associated with GPS Planning Systems to ensure availability of accurate and robust data for all stakeholders. Undertake administration tasks including filing. Provide cover for other members of the department when required (e.g. holiday).
