Project Controller (home based)

The Project Controller provides project management support services for scheduling projects from inception through completion. Supports the Project Manager(s) by tracking issue and risk logs, develops and maintains schedules, facilitates planning sessions, handles resource constraints and allocations and schedules, and critical path analysis and reporting. Primary Responsibilities:
• Works with the project team to develop a project plan and schedule, including facilitating a process for handling risks, issues, scope, quality and general project communication
• As part of schedule development, determines that project has all necessary resources
• Educates project team on status reporting techniques
• Tracks scope changes; gathers data and analyzes impact of change; makes recommendations to the Project Manager
• Prepares project status reports on a regular basis; provides dashboard giving high level view of the project's health
• Manages project schedule; analyzes variations, slipping tasks, impact of task changes and overall ability for the project to deliver on time
• Performs burn rate projections
• Tracks all expenditures and analyzes spending trends; reports any deviation from baseline
• Documents/tracks issues and analyzes risk; provides Project Manager with status report on open issues and risks
• Provides excellent service directly to clients; participates on client calls and addresses concerns/issues directly with the client when necessary
• Works collaboratively with RQM team members to disseminate project details and information and to also provide direction regarding project deliverables
• Provides any additional support needed to the Project Manager and/or project team Key Requirements
• Bachelors' degree required in related field
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with project planning software, i.e., Microsoft Project.Advanced Excel skills, preferred
• Ability to simultaneously control several projects
• Strong Business Acumen; responds appropriately to customer and employee needs
• High performance orientation, a detail orientation, and strong organization skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills as well as experience working collaboratively with clients, employees and outsiders
