About The Role SUPPORT WORKER - CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE - ACACIA HALL Nr Welton LN3. We are recruiting for Support Workers to join our well-established care team at our Children and Young People Residential service, Acacia Hall just outside of Lincoln, near the Village of Welton LN3. Fixed two week rota working from 07:30am - 20:30pm (13 hour shift with a 1 hour unpaid break) Week1(M,T,F,S,S) Week2(W,Th). About the position: As a Support Worker, you will be key in helping and caring for young people with complex needs. • Working with all levels of the Staff Team to safeguard our young people at all time.
• Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.
• Assisting with practical matters relating to care (cooking, cleaning etc.).
• Creating positive relationships with the young people and offering them unconditional dignity and respect.
• Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young people.
• Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
• Ensuring that the needs of the young person are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
• Actively contributing to the development of the team. Workforce development. About The Candidate What experience and qualifications do you need:
• A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
• A strong team player.
• Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support if needed.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
