Account and Office Manager

Broster Buchanan are recruiting for an accounts and office manager for a client on the outskirts of Huntingdon Accounts and Office Manager This is varied role working across the owner's diverse business entities with offices in a village location near Godmanchester. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with experience of working on their own initiative, proactive communication skills are essential. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Managing Accounts and Office Assistant Delegating duties to assistant as appropriate Covering Assistant's duties in their absence Overseeing general accounting reconciliations o Intercompany analysis and reconciliation Maintaining balance sheet schedules Profit and loss reporting VAT returns Preparing year end schedules for accountants Managing and forecasting cash flow across multiple bank accounts. Report forecast and actuals Manage cash allocation across accounts Payroll and Human Resources Manage HR processes File Confirmation Statements with Companies House Company Secretary for the various limited companies Liaison with accountant, bank managers and solicitors Required / Desired experience, competencies and personal skills: Experience in a similar accounting role is essential Knowledge of property and insurance matters is desirable Experience within catering and hospitality sector is an advantage Knowledge and experience of VAT, including submitting returns Working knowledge of payroll and PAYE Proficient in SAGE, Excel, Word, Outlook etc Strong time management and prioritisation skills Effective management of documentation, both paper and electronic Good business relationship management and communication skills Confidentiality is essential Educated to degree level or equivalent is desirable ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified to newly qualified or evidence of qualified by experience This job was originally posted as
