Lincolnshire County Council is looking to appoint a full time Level 1 Social Worker to our team based in Lincoln. The role involves undertaking assessments of need both within hospitals and the community settings to ensure our customers are able to live independent lives and for those that need support, the right support package, in the right place, at the right time. You would be working alongside; Carers, Community teams, Health colleagues, Care providers, The third sector to enable safe and timely discharges, As well as working with customers to prevent hospital admission. You will be supported to undertake assessments in line with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and you will support colleagues within Adult Social Care such as safeguarding team to ensure the wellbeing of everyone you work with. It goes without saying that it is essential that you can show sound knowledge of relevant legislation underpinning statutory Adult Care Practice, Social Work theory and be able to demonstrate values that promote wellbeing, challenge oppression and discriminations and empower people to live well. The post holder must hold a professional Social Work qualification e.g. DIPSW, CQSW, CETSW, CSS or BA Social Work and ensure that registration with Social Work England is maintained and renewed appropriately .
